Description Modern Healthcare, the preeminent source for healthcare business news, is seeking an experienced reporter to cover healthcare policy and politics in Washington, DC. This position reports, writes and produces for all Modern Healthcare print and digital publications and is expected to generate other forms of editorial content including but not limited to podcasts, video, webcasts and social media. Basic Requirements: Three years minimum experience covering Capitol Hill and D.C. policy or healthcare business news Able to manage multiple assignments to cover daily news, analysis and long-term features Experience generating story ideas and developing sources to produce scoops in a competitive environment Consistently meet deadlines and file concise, clean copy that shows how action in the Beltway will affect hospitals, insurers and other healthcare companies Desire to collaborate and work with other reporters B.A. in journalism or other field of study Preferences: Interest in data and multimedia reporting. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $75,000. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of specific and relevant factors, including experience, accomplishments and location.
