CCG Marketing Solutions is Hiring a Creative Ops & Communications Coordinator Near Caldwell, NJ

CCG Promo is seeking an individual who specializes in communication and organization and has an eye for aesthetics and design to be the backbone of our Creative Services team. To ensure smooth operations of this part of our business, this individual will be interpersonal, creative, and capable of managing multiple tasks, priorities, and resources simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring deadlines are met. The ideal candidate is familiar with design processes and can utilize industry-standard software to execute basic graphics tasks to assist the CCG Promo team.

This is an onsite position. Please make sure you can reasonably commute to our West Caldwell, NJ office.

Please submit a portfolio or some samples of past work to demonstrate your understanding of design. While this is not a fully graphic design position, having a basic understanding of how to use Adobe graphic-based programs (Photoshop and Illustrator) is integral.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Maintain clear and organized cross-functional communication between the CCG Promo Creative Studio team, internal CCG Promo/ CCG Marketing Solutions teams, clients, and external partners/vendors.
    • Ensure timely and professional responses to all inquiries and correspondence.
    • Effectively communicate opinions on design and design choices.
    • Effectively Project Manage a wide range of clients/projects ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Operations & Organization:
    • Responsible for generating (or delegating to the appropriate parties) and sending quotes and invoices for active Creative Studio projects to clients or partners
    • Keep accurate records of payments for creative services hours and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.
    • Ability to self-manage and delegate tasks to ensure project completion.
    • Coordinate with Creative Studio designers to assess skill strengths and availability to create daily/weekly production schedules that maximize quality and efficiency in final deliverables.
    • Record notes that can be summarized in e-mail communications.
    • Maintain and record organization of files, documents, and resources relating to ongoing projects as well as managing the archive of projects past and current.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors or suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of products for active projects.
    • Assist in studio, props, and hardware organization
    • Assist with daily operations for branded merchandise, apparel & premiums, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Creative Support:
    • Assist in interpreting creative briefs and engage in brainstorming sessions to offer solutions and recommendations on problem-solving concepts to overcome obstacles and meet project objectives.
    • Demonstrate basic working knowledge of Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
      • Be comfortable working with smart objects (Photoshop), layers, layer styles, layer adjustments, and layer masks from a graphic design perspective.
      • Provide basic creative support and assistance to the Creative Studio and CCG Promo teams.
    • Assist in simple design tasks or file preparation as needed. 
      • Create quick mockups using templates and provided artwork.
      • Know the difference between vector and raster artwork and either convert graphics between the two formats or communicate artwork needs to internal and external teams. 
      • Understand settings for final graphic deliverables for both print and digital formats.
    • Ability to observe artwork and composition visuals objectively, subjectively, and aesthetically to offer critiques and constructive criticisms to yourself, your team members, and external project partners/vendors.
    • Basic working knowledge of cameras to handle basic photography tasks if needed
      • Be comfortable in assisting on set in shoots
      • Offer direction or critiques of different shots

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
  • Basic/Intermediate Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
  • Experience with Media Production & Graphic Design: 1-2 years (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Mac OS systems
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency with the Google Suite 
  • Familiarity with WMS or back of house management systems
  • Basic algebraic knowledge for daily operations
