CB's Premium Nuts, Inc. is Hiring a Sanitation Technician Near Poulsbo, WA

Position Summary:

CB’s Premium Nuts, Inc., a successful local family company in Kingston, Washington with a friendly culture has an immediate need for a Sanitation Technician. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity of facilities and machinery in a conscientious and reliable manner consistent with good manufacturing practices and company standards. We are looking for people who are dedicated to the CB's Nuts' mission of producing healthy, flavorful, quality nut products.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant and some equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Complete and update Sanitation Schedules as per company standards.
  • Complete and maintain routine and preventive records and logs as per standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate and work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.
  • Execute cleanup and maintenance of your work area and equipment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all plant area processes.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding task assignment, task completion and deviation from task schedule.
  • Report food safety and sanitation problems to supervisor and/or personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Update and create Facility Sanitation and Maintenance related Standard Operating Procedures as needed and/or directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Sanitation and maintenance experience in Warehouse and/or food production preferred but not required.
  • Operate sanitation and maintenance equipment properly and safely with a commitment to safety.
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to read and understand standard operating procedures and manuals.
  • Organize and maintain cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Able to navigate basic computer programs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Able to work in a team environment and/or independently with minimal supervision, adapt to changing environment quickly and think independently.
  • Able to take direction from Direct Supervisor and Executive Management and have a willingness to learn and work as a team.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Reliable transportation.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift and move product and objects comfortably weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to walk and stand; climb or balance; bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch; reach, push and pull.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.

Job Type: Part-Time, 24 hours a week. If qualified, can pair with another CB's Nuts part-time position to maintain full-time work.

Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
