About Cayuga Centers

Cayuga Centers is an accredited non-profit, human services agency dedicated to family support and preservation, trauma-informed care, and serving vulnerable populations with the most unique needs. Founded in 1852 in Auburn, NY, we have a long history of delivering high-quality and innovative services to individuals, children, youth and families. We have 22 locations across 8 states and serve over 10,000 individuals and families annually. Join us!

At Cayuga Centers, we embrace Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). We do this by taking a firm stance against hatred, inequality, bias, and injustice. We do this by providing our staff with the training, coaching, and resources necessary to grow and serve with cultural humility, acceptance, and understanding. We are responsive to the diverse needs of those we serve and staff, and are committed to ensuring that everyone feels respected, valued, and a sense of belonging.

About the Program and Position:

Our innovative Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) team involves community-based counseling and allows youth’s needs to be served at home and in the community. Our approach extends the services net to reach those who would not otherwise receive treatment due to a variety of barriers. Our clinicians help improve a family’s skills, well-being, safety planning, and crisis management to address the child’s mental health needs.

Under the supervision of the Executive Vice President of Behavioral Health Services, the Senior Director of the Western Hub will lead all Cayuga Center programs in Ontario and Yates Counties including the Western HUB so they are effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs both of those we service and our licensing and funding agencies. The Senior Director will provide direct support in overseeing the operations, supervision, on-call rotations, and crisis response for the assigned Evidence Based/Resiliency/CFTSS programs located in that assigned office space. The Senior Director will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and tracking all data, as required by the EVP of Upstate New York Behavioral Health Services. This role requires building and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders and county programs to stabilize and grow our regional programming.

How you get to use your skills…

  • Oversee clinical staff to provide home and community-based, solution focused evaluation, evidenced-based treatment, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention to children, families and groups. There may be occasions that you are asked to perform direct practice.

  • Oversee clinical and case management staff to actively participate as part of a team of service providers and others with a focus on well-coordinated services for family members.

  • Provide weekly supervision and support to staff and teams seated in this location.

  • Approve staff time requests, time cards and mileage.

  • Ensure appropriate reporting procedures have occurred for high risk and crisis cases.

  • Ensure that billing and documentation requirements are met for the HUB satellite office. This includes agency, consultant and stakeholder requirements. Including but not limited to: monitoring completion of progress notes, NYS Connections requirements, county billing, insurance billing, completion of quarterly reports, and weekly stakeholder reports.

  • Ensure the proper maintenance of records through regular file reviews and archival procedures.

  • Maintain open and regular communication with other agency programs and departments to ensure smooth transitions for cases.

  • Demonstrate an inclusive practice both in the office and in the field to support a diverse and accepting culture.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, ability to flex schedule to meet program needs, including ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
