Position Summary:
The North Central Director is responsible for the operations of the Catholic Charities offices with services in North Central Counties. The position will represent all of the agency services in the community, maintaining a professional collaborative relationship with partner organizations, parishes, and other service providers. All leadership responsibilities will be performed in concert with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities and Catholic Social Teaching.
Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains a positive work environment, promoting positive working relationships and communication with the agency, parishes, and community agencies. Represents Catholic Charities and maintains a positive profile in the community with providers of other community resources.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with all agency staff, including feedback that supports program operations while facilitating professional and personal staff growth.
  • Facilitates leadership meetings to provide clear communication, decision-making and program implementation across services.
  • Collaborates with Division and Associate Directors and managers of services including early learning, behavioral health, pregnancy and parenting, and senior services.
  • Aligns all services with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities.
  • Keeps all staff informed and cognizant of Mission Integration and agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the agency infrastructure is maintained in such a manner as to support all administrative and service operations.
  • Works with Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to ensure that facility is effectively and efficiently maintained.
  • Represents Catholic Charities professionally in designated local and regional professional organizations and meetings.
  • Provide professional oversight of the operations in Chelan/Douglas Counties:
  • In coordination and collaboration with Division and Associate Directors identifies and arranges for /schedules the appropriate level of staffing and support needed to meet the needs of individuals served.
  • Provides professional supervision for designated managers and Associate Directors.
  • Provides management back-up for any program when needed.
  • Coordinates appropriately with Division and Associate Directors, managers, and Human Resources to initiate approved hiring process and address employee performance issues.
  • Implements services in a manner to provide best evidence-based outcomes in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Team, Division, and Associate Directors, and Compliance Officer:
  • Ensures that managers and staff implement and follow all standards for evidence-based practices.
  • Works with designated Associate Directors and managers to develop training plans that support staff performance and strengthen service delivery.
  • Ensures that programs and staff meet all regulatory and statutory requirements per the WAC.
  • Ensures that all serious incidents are documented and reported according to agency policy.
  • Conducts ongoing coaching, professional development, and annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Performs annual evaluations with direct reports.
  • Works collaborative with Division Directors, Associate Directors, managers, and Human Resources to resolve and correct any performance issues in a timely, professional manner.
  • Documents supervision and related performance in a manner consistent with Agency policies.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and Controller, participates in developing and managing designated program budgets.
  • Continually assesses gaps in services and community needs to identify and develop new programs and partnerships to serve underserved populations within the mission of Catholic Charities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this nursing position. Physical Requirements:
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision.
Non-Physical Requirements:
Education:
  • Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Work, or related field.
Experience:
  • 10 years experience in delivery of Clinical Services.
  • 5 years experience in successful Management of Health/Social Service programs.
Special Skills:
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide program direction to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Possess and utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful implementation of team management/supervision.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, work independently and successfully lead and motivate teams.
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community.
  • Knowledgeable about behavioral health and early learning best practices.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
  • Valid Washington State drivers license and required minimum liability insurance.
  • Licensed or credentialed in respective field.
Employment is conditional upon:
  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required.
