Responsibilities

The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist plays a vital role in managing the employee recruitment and selection processes for the agency. They collaborate with hiring managers to source and attract qualified candidates through various channels such as job fairs, college recruiting, and job postings. The specialist is responsible for screening and evaluating job candidates, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, funding source regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. They also maintain a job description database and provide updates on recruitment activities and status to supervisors and internal stakeholders. Additionally, the specialist works as part of the HR team, resolves employee relations issues, conducts salary surveys, produces accurate reports and correspondence, and adheres to guidelines set by funding sources and the organization. Maintaining strict confidentiality is crucial in this role.

Full-time Monday-Friday

35 hour work week

$24.70 per hour starting rate

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a corporate human resources environment, with a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations is required, experience in the development and implementation of new systems preferred.
• Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR or SPHR), or Society for HR Management (SHRM) professional certification preferred.

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:

• Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
