Under the direction of the Director of Finance (DOF), the Senior Accountant performs a variety of complex tasks in general areas of accounting, including recording transactions, financial and management reporting, maintenance of the chart of accounts, establishing new funds, analysis and reconciliation of the development and financial systems.
FULL TIME/EXEMPT ROLE: $72K/ANNUAL
Job Skills / RequirementsGOALS AND EXPECTATIONS: The Senior Accountant is expected to provide financial expertise and to exercise initiative in interpreting policy on financial matters. Exercises administrative judgement and assumes responsibilities for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the organization. The Accountant is accountable for fiscal compliance in accordance with GAAP as well as government accounting standards, Federal laws, regulations and administrative requirements. Is responsible for managing federal grant awards.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 3 to 5 years accounting experience. Experience working in a non-profit environment that receives Federal Funding is a plus.
