SUMMARY

Responsible for the Food Services Catering program and staff. Oversees all scheduling, team meetings, catering staff payroll and all processes directly affecting the catering program. Ensures the coordination of the catering team to provide three meals daily to remote locations: Smith Rd / 48th Ave / Marisol Home/ Mullen Home.

  • Works directly with Food Services Manager and Kitchen supervisors in planning meal deliveries to each remote facility.
  • Works within Health department guidelines to ensure food safety protocols are being carried out.
  • Maintains standards and quality control of meals provided to remote locations.
  • Responsible for communicating any vehicle issues with the Food Services manager.
  • Ensures timely arrival and departure of food delivery to remote locations.
  • Reports to and works directly with Warehouse Manager to ensure catering procedures are being followed.
  • Responsible for scheduling the catering team members to all sites for every meal.
  • Responsible the posting and communication of the written schedules for each food service location at least a week ahead.
  • Conducts weekly staff meetings.
  • Responsible for scheduling bi-weekly fill-ups of catering vehicles.
  • Helps to directs volunteers in food services to do:
    • Sack lunches.
    • Sandwiches
  • Travels, as necessary, to remote sites related to meal service distribution on a regular, weekly basis in order to audit staff, maintain cleanliness, consistency and inventory.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with CACFP program and food safety standards are adhered to.
  • Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
  • Regular and predictable attendance. Some overtime might be required.
  • Current Colorado Driver’s license required. Must be insurable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Catering drivers/team. Supervises payroll for catering team/drivers and conducts weekly department meetings.

Qualifications


  • Experience in supervision and/or food distribution and catering.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be organized and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from accredited two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $22-24/hr. Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
