Position Details:
  • Tutors will provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in mathematics, reading and writing for K-8 students.
  • Part time and full time hours available

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Diagnoses learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
  • Consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
  • Communicates and conferences with teachers and school leaders providing information on student progress
  • Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
  • Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to students through the utilization of Company-designed materials and educational strategies.
  • Use and differentiate Company required curriculum to create individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Ensures supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
  • Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
  • Attends and documents meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
  • Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress using Company tools and materials.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we’ll need from you:
The positive, enthusiastic teacher we seek has these qualifications.
  • Non-licensed tutors: individuals with an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher education; or at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
  • Licensed tutors: teachers with proper credentials recognized by the State of Ohio as Properly Licensed Teacher.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
