As the Communications Coordinator, you will be part of a dedicated and collaborative corporate team dedicated to creating and delivering effective marketing materials and communication programs to our fellow employee-owners, and external audiences. You will work closely with the Communications Manager and other marketing and communications team members across our corporate team and local business units. Your excellent time management, attention to detail, and writing skills will add strength to the communications we deliver.


What a day is like:

The primary responsibility for this role is communications support, including composing, building campaign plans, and delivering effective communication programs for internal and external audiences. You will work hand in hand with the Communications Manager and assist with communications strategy and execution. You will own content update procedures as assigned for internal and external communications, including: website content, social media posting, SharePoint news, and other communication channels. Using your strong attention to detail, you will assist in ensuring materials and communications delivered reflect the Catamount brand, voice, and intent.

Additional responsibilities may include: internal and external event planning and execution, company project information database support, daily administrative tasks, and other various projects to support the marketing and communications teams. We have a dynamic and supportive team environment and sometimes we need to take an “all hands on deck” approach to assist or lead short-notice projects, even if it falls outside your normal job duties.

Position Requirements

What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:

  • A positive, enthusiastic “team player” attitude
  • Ability to self-start, work independently, and keep to your own internal deadlines
  • Ability to excel under pressure, skilled in time management and multi-tasking to produce results in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, interpersonal) with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders to foster trust and partnership
  • Strong copywriting and copyediting skills
  • 1-4 years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, and/or brand development
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ability and desire to work in an office-setting (Lakewood office)

Compensation:

$55,000 – $65,000 on an annual basis, DOE. In addition to offering competitive base pay, Catamount employees are eligible for additional incentives for merit/performance, project incentives*, new hire referrals, and business development commissions. *Project incentives are limited to certain roles in Operations.
