The IT Technician, Madison, North America (NA) Biologics Durg Substance, reporting to the Manager IT Site Lead, Madison is accountable for the management of IT systems for the site, primarily located in Madison, WI and facilitating any troubleshooting needed on global systems and Local Area Network devices. This position will support the achievement of adequate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT services with the Site are in alignment with IT Central standards, following cGMPs, SOX and EHS requirements, partnering with the IT Computer Systems Validation team, while making sure adequate management, implementation, improvement, ongoing support and compliance in relation to the IT area and working together with the site Engineering, MS&T, Quality depts to define and provide a sustainability plan for local systems.

This is a full-time on-site position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

The Role

• Install computer hardware, telecommunication components, hardware and cabling, including configuration, Test, Delivery to the user, Update assets.
• Install peripheral components, such as minor LAN components and cabling, monitors, Keyboards, printers and disk drives, following installation procedures.
• Load specific software packages, such as operating systems, hardware drivers and custom application software on computers.
• Take charge of purchase requests from users, pass them to the purchasing team and follow the process until delivery/install to the user.
• Perform systems hardware diagnostics and advise on system support hardware/software problems. Repair, install, and maintain business PC and sw.
• Management of equipment for video conferences and provides technical support as needed.
• Manage service requests for the installation and removal of new devices.
• Collaborate with corporate team to deliver any new policies to site users PCs, collaborating with corporate teams to speed up the resolution of ticket. Support local users to interact with Technical team for incident resolution.
• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in business administration, and/or management information systems. Equivalent IT work experience will be considered in place of a degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant and progressive experience driving IT systems implementations and supporting projects from design, development to implementation of IT solutions; with proven experience in the operation and analysis of database, hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
• Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Knowledge of top Typologies VLAN infrastructure strong knowledge of enterprise network security technologies including firewalls;
• Experience in biotech, pharma or life sciences manufacturing and lab with an understanding of what is required in a Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) environment preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing and laboratory systems in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
• Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English with good written and verbal communication/presentation skills
