Castiglia’s Italian Restaurant located in downtown Fredericksburg is seeking a FOH Manager to work under the General Manager with the managing of the day-to-day Front of House operations of the restaurant. This position will be on the front line. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for guest service, and experience in the hospitality business at a lead or managerial level.

Individual should be outgoing, highly motivated, business minded, has a proactive approach to revenue generation and achieving targets while focusing on delighting each guest with exceptional customer service standards.

Responsibilities -

• Communicate operational updates to the General Manager.
• Maintain a presence in the restaurant to ensure a smooth flow of service regardless of any emergencies or obstacles that may arise throughout the day.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with the Front of House staff.
• Assist General Manager and the management team in the daily operations of the restaurant.
• Work with the General Manager to identify and communicate FOH staffing needs.
• Ensure FOH staff is update on training and identify staff members that may need additional training.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all systems for FOH and BOH.
• Maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction.
• Work with management team to help create, a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals and implementing contests and creating incentives for the staff.
• Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures in the restaurant at all times.
• Support and sustain other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years of restaurant operations management experience
• Prior Management experience is preferred.
• Proven customer service and experience delivery skills required.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability and acknowledgement of long periods of standing, periodic lifting of heavy items ad non-standard work hours (e.g. outside of M-F/9-5)
