Job Overview
The Human Resources Specialist at Castaway Cove Waterpark plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions. This position involves working closely with the General Manager, all park management teams (Operations, Aquatics, Food and Beverage, Cash Control, Maintenance, and Accounting), and employees. The focus of this role is on processing new hires, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, thereby fostering a positive work environment and ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the Human Resources Specialist, you will:
· Create and manage new employee files, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted.
· Ensure new hires complete all required documents before their start date.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
· Address and resolve HR-related issues in compliance with state and federal laws.
· Assist in managing incoming calls and maintaining office cleanliness as needed.
· Foster a supportive environment, liaising between staff, departments, and park guests.
· Ensure regular and reliable attendance, adapting to schedule changes as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
· Proven experience in human resources.
· The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Strong writing skills for creating memos, employee handbooks, and other HR documents.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
