Redeemer Health Care Center, a 4-star rated, 119-bed senior care campus located in Uptown Minneapolis, is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Worker/ Custodian to join our team! We are conveniently located on the bus line for an easy commute and offer off-street parking. In addition to our generous benefits, we are offering a $1,000 Bonus!

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position (30-40 hours per week) working varied hours including every other weekend.

What does a Maintenance Worker/ Custodian do?

• Assist with schedules for preventative maintenance programs for major equipment and make sure it is in good operating condition.
• Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
• Complete heavy janitorial/ maintenance work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

What does a Maintenance Worker/ Custodian require?

• Previous experience in Long Term Care/ Assisted Living preferred.
• Boiler’s license a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of MDH State and Federal Regulations and OSHA guidelines would be preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with residents, family members, staff, corporate leadership, and outside contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work as a team leader/supervisor, organize departmental goals and objectives
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Other activities include frequent kneeling, bending/ stooping, and pushing/ pulling to complete tasks throughout the day.
