Position Summary
The Food Service Worker I is part of a team that provides top quality food for patients, staff, and visitors. The position is responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure excellent customer service, quality and safety in providing food and nutritional services for the organization and the communities it serves.

Essential Job Functions
Adheres to Time and Attendance Policies: being at work when scheduled, prompt, following break schedule and entering unclocked time.
Follows Departmental Policies including facility and departmental dress code, phone policy and computer use.
Keeps informed by reading-mails, menu notes, meeting minutes, etc.
Maintains work area in a clean, neat and orderly manner, according to infection control and safety procedures. This includes monitoring and documenting assigned temperature checks, completing and documenting assigned cleaning and using equipment properly.
Follows posted menu, standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
Adheres to the department quality program, i.e. menu availability for patients.
