Case Systems, Inc. is Hiring a Wood Panel Saw Machine Operator Near Midland, MI

Description

While working as part of a team, operates one or more machines for the production of casework and other products. Work also includes loading and/or removing parts, inserting components and other forms of manual labor.

  1. Set up and operate various types of machines and power equipment, including wood panel saws, edgebanders, pocketers, backgroovers, routers, point-to-points / CNCs, laminators and scissor lifts.
  2. Run other equipment or perform assembly operations as assigned, which might include using hand and power tools, such as air drivers, pneumatic drills, and screw guns.
  3. Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts and sample work pieces.
  4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting.
  5. Sort pre-cut parts as necessary.
  6. Load parts onto a machine, guiding them when necessary.
  7. Unload and neatly stack completed parts.
  8. Read and use production paperwork to identify and locate parts and corresponding hardware
  9. Adhere to 6-S by maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  10. Visually inspect parts / products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  11. Work in an extremely safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations.
  12. Support and uphold the company’s values – Teamwork, Integrity, Positive Attitude, Achievement and Growth.
  13. Develop teamwork by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all employees and business contacts.
  14. Exhibit respect and truthfulness in every interaction, while doing what we say we’ll do.

Requirements

  1. Previous wood panel saw machine operation experience.
  2. Ability to use hand and power tools.
  3. Ability to read, comprehend and correctly interpret production paperwork.
  4. Ability to read and determine accurate measurements.
  5. Ability to consistently perform manual labor and heavy lifting and to sustain physical work activities, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending and walking.
  6. Good attendance, work performance and safety records.
  7. Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  8. Ability to work extra hours as needed, sometimes on short notice.
