Child Watch Attendant

Cascade Hills Country Club is looking for a Child Watch Attendant for our Child Watch Facility. If you have a passion for working with young children and helping them grow, this is the place for you!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Child Watch Attendants will be under the direct supervision of the Assistant General Manager and be responsible for providing a safe, caring, and enriching environment for the children. Child Watch Attendants will be expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, by setting an example for the children, parents and co-workers that reflects Cascade Hills Country Club (CHCC) core values. Additionally, Child Watch Attendants will be responsible for assisting the Assistant General Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the Child Watch Facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB DUTIES:

• Engage in positive interaction with children to build confidence and self-esteem.
• Follows CHCC code of conduct and has a friendly professional demeanor at all times.
• Maintains accurate attendance records and emergency contact information on each child; and keeps a consistent headcount on all children during his/her shift.
• Maintains positive relationships with members and promptly responds to their concerns.
• Ensures Child Watch Facility is kept clean, sanitized, organized, and closing procedures are done daily (as outlined on daily check lists).
• Adheres to CHCC’s Child Watch Policies & Procedures Manual and emergency protocols.
• Adheres to all clean-up and reporting procedures in the event of an accident/incident and alerts a supervisor if risky or unsafe conditions exist.
• Ensures that security check-in and check-out procedures are followed by members and staff.
• Develop daily programming to engage children.
• Maintains supplies, equipment and materials and communicates when supplies are needed.
• Responsible for and familiar with the behaviors and needs of children who are restroom independent.
• Have child protection training and read and acknowledge the CHCC Employee Handbook upon hiring.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Aquatics Director, Assist General Manager and General Manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to perform essential clerical functions which may involve, but not limited to the following activities.
• Standing & sitting at various times as required while performing child watch requirements.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds using proper technique.
• Have adequate vision and hearing to perform child watch duties according to CHCC standards.
• Be able to work in an environment with high activity and moderate to high noise levels.
• Drug Free and Smoke free (as outlined in the CHCC’s Employee Handbook).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or GED Required.
• CPR/AED/1st Aid certification.
• A qualification in childcare, child development, or childhood education is a plus.
• Clean criminal record/background check.
• Ability to demonstrate and/or show competency in the following areas:

o Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

o Ability to take directions & follow through with given assignments.

o Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to meet CHCC staffing/planning needs.

o Able to exercise mature judgment and sound decision making.

o Dedicated to meeting or exceeding goals and delivering a great member experience.

o Communicating effectively both orally and in writing.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday - Sunday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
