Casa Pacifica is Hiring a Clinician I, ISFC/FFA Near Camarillo, CA

Wage band range $66,560.00 - $75,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive.

Under the direction of the FFA/ISFC Program Coordinator and the Director of Community Based Services, is responsible for conducting assessments, writing Master Treatment Plans/Service Plans, providing individual/family therapy and coordination of services for clients placed in Casa Pacifica Foster Family Agency.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of assigned clients as necessary and carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it relates to individualized behavioral interventions, Safety Plans and Plans of Care as needed at a child's home, school, or other community settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses the clinical needs of the youth, develops a treatment plan, makes referrals to needed resources, and creates a discharge plan for assigned clients.
  • Provides clinical services such as individual, collateral, rehabilitation, parenting skills training, and case management as appropriate to the individual needs of the youth.
  • Evaluates the changing mental health needs of the youth and adjusts accordingly.
  • Utilizes evidenced-based practices that are appropriate to meet the clinical needs of the youth and family.
  • Collaborates with child family specialists, FFA case managers, parent partners, families, and youth to provide comprehensive clinical care for the youth.
  • Acts as liaison with placement agencies and community services and works closely with mental health and child protective services, as well as law enforcement agencies, schools, employers, health and welfare, and recreation agencies to provide coordinated care.
  • Confers with education partners regarding the behavioral or learning problems of youth and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging a positive learning experience.
  • Serves as the leader of a youth/family treatment team. In conjunction with the team, develops and implements individual clinical treatment plans and assures the integration of the clinical components into all aspects of a developed treatment plan for a whole person, client-centered multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Responsible for maintaining an organized and up-to-date clinical chart according to county and agency guidelines. Prepares regular progress reports on each client; prepares additional correspondence related to caseload as required. Documents progress notes on electronic health records.
  • Utilizes community resources in providing services for children.
  • Assists youth transitioning into the community and links them to appropriate services
  • Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
  • Provides support and training as requested for resource families and Community Based Staff.
  • Conducts quarterly and discharge chart reviews.
  • May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters level, or Post-Doctoral Psychologist supervised professional experience with up to 3 to 5 years of experience working with severely emotionally disturbed youth doing family assessments and treatment, and behavior management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CREDENTIALS: Must be eligible for licensure in California. (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or Psy.D.)

TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and other state/federal licensing or certification requirements, including mandatory reporting requirements as per Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA). Valid California Driver’s license, clean record

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use various computer Software. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred. Knowledge of Title 22, Division 6 licensing requirements. Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills. Strong human relations skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
