Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire a qualified Child Care Director to manage our day-to-day operations and establish and sustain a positive learning environment for children. The Director will oversee the coordination of education programs that comply with local and federal regulations, ensure that facilities are maintained, manage and support a complement of childcare staff, and manage the facilities files. The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a childcare facility, as well as strong leadership skills. Applicant must display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers. Early childhood development experience is a plus.
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for young children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured learning
- Collaborate with parents and families to support children's individual needs and goals
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom
Skills:
- Experience working with young students in an childcare center setting
- Ability to educate and engage children through creative teaching methods
- Knowledge of early childhood education administration and best practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs of students
- Familiarity with higher education teaching principles is a plus
