The Brand Design team is part of the broader Marketing, Channel, and Policy. Brand Marketing is the guiding force for bringing Carta’s soul to the market. Carta is rapidly expanding from a business defined by a single product (Cap Table Management) to an integrated platform of equity-driven solutions that deliver greater value for more participants (products like Total Compensation, Venture Capital, and Liquidity). The team is driven by the opportunity to distinguish Carta across its categories, helping democratize equity ownership, and increasing access to financial education.

The Brand Marketing team is home to visual designers, film makers, strategists, and brand managers - and we’re just getting started! We are building a world class creative team for Carta that brings equity and ownership to life. We nurture a creative environment that promotes taking risks and being bold. • Help build a world-class visual design practice at Carta
• Understand the long-term strategic value of the Carta brand
• Form partnerships with key stakeholders across the company
• Build and maintain a visual library and guidelines containing and defining all of Carta’s visual assets 
• Push the limits of what the Carta brand encompasses from designing products to presentations
• Tie together all Carta product web page experiences under one Carta identity
• Build web pages using our component library and design brand new experiences
• Collaborate with our graphic designers to bring assets to life
• Help uplevel the companies’ design sensibilities by providing tools, templates, and education while being just as happy designing one pagers and presentations for your teammates across the company

About You

• 5 years of design experience at a fast paced hyper growth company or creative agency
• A passion for storytelling, demonstrable through a portfolio of visual design work and design systems
• A great understanding of the formal elements of design, not just limited to web and including typography, layout, balance and proportion
• Ability to rapidly prototype and bring web ideas to life using Figma
• Knowledge on HTML, CSS, and JS is a plus
• Strong familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong communication skills to coordinate cross-team efforts and enjoy solving problems that are crucial to the business, impacting the whole organization
• Self motivated and seeks to solve problems independently
• Ability to present concepts to senior management

The Interview Process

Interviews with brand marketing stakeholders and product team members to better understand your craft, design process, and how you approach brand challenges. You may be asked to submit samples of previous strategy work (web, print, social, banners, etc) and complete an assignment.
