The Role: The International Shipping Coordinator manages international shipments, ensuring they are processed, packed, and shipped in compliance with international shipping regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proficiency in basic computer tasks, and the ability to handle packages with care, including lifting heavy items when required. What You'll Do: Oversee daily operation of international shipments and shipping processes Responsible for all international Customs documents and Invoices Establish and implement procedures related to shipping Interact with other departments (both internal and external) to ensure smooth operation of Shipping department Maintain proper inventory counts and paperwork at all times Separate orders by method of shipment Complete paperwork for all shipments (e.g., declaration tags and bills of lading). Create manifests for shipping containers Create shipping manifests for all orders without shipper ID numbers, in order to provide a means of tracking Use computer systems to track, log, and process international shipments, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Pack products effectively to prevent damage during international transport, adhering to international packing standards Serve as a point of contact for international carriers and oversee the scheduling and receiving of international deliveries Keep the workspace organized and free of unnecessary clutter, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for international shipping operations Perform routine cleaning tasks and any other duties assigned by management to support the overall shipping department Who You Are: Strong understanding of international shipping practices, including customs regulations and documentation requirements Excellent organizational skills to adapt and assist in various roles within the shipping department with a focus on international shipments Effective communication skills for coordinating with international carriers and addressing any shipping inquiries or issues What You've Done: Physical Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. · While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. · Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting. · Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours, with frequent interruptions. · Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. · Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel Required.
