Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Level 1 Cook at Carroll Lutheran Village! This is a Full time position and will include some weekend shifts.

What You’ll Do as a Cook at Carroll Lutheran Village:

  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving menu items
  • Taste products, read menus, and estimate food requirements
  • Maintain food production, keep records to ensure accurate plan production requirement, requisition supplies, and equipment
  • May be assigned to work in a venue which will require preparation and cooking food to order, including the ability to read the order and or prepare and cook food according to instructions

Qualifications


Why We Want You On Our Team You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • Minimum 2 years culinary experience in a restaurant or a hotel preferred
  • Must be able to take verbal instructions on food required by the senior resident patrons
  • Previous experience working in a Continued Care Retirement Community (CCRC) a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
