Carroll Motor Fuels is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support the Accounting Management and Senior Accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department. This position will collaborate with Sr. Management and provide strategic cash management for critical business operations.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing cash reconciliations, daily analysis of all cash accounts, preparing various journal entries, detailed reports. The position will work in a hands-on role supporting all aspects of cash, intercompany, hedging and cash flow forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Support corporate cash needs including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.
• Monitor and manage daily cash position for all companies including intercompany balances and transfers; prepare and manage liquidity.
• Prepares various journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Responsible for monthly closing procedures, preparing reconciliation of various cash GL accounts to bank statements and any related adjustments for various LLC entities.
• Updates, edit and reconcile journal entries to ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
• Performs other tasks & duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, or equivalent in work experience.
• 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience is required.
• Experience in working with multiple legal/accounting entities, and web-based bank reporting systems.
• Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Technical accounting and/or industry knowledge specific to C-Store retail and fuel industries preferred.
