The primary focus of this role is to install and troubleshoot connectivity hardware kits for customers across a wide range of industries.
The successful candidate will be customer-facing, possess strong technical expertise, be self-sufficient, and thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous work environment.
This position requires an elevated level of travel and schedule flexibility to meet customer needs. This position will provide OTJ experience in plant and mechanical room settings.
Aspiring commercial HVAC technicians are encouraged to apply and will qualify for 10 weeks of training at Carrier University within their first year of employment to develop service fundamentals and skills for light commercial and commercial products.
Key Responsibilities :
System Installation and Deployment : Execute the installation, setup, and configuration of connectivity kits at customer sites.
Technical Expertise : Possess a deep understanding of the installation and integration processes of the specified systems.
Provide guidance and expertise to customers and internal stakeholders regarding technical requirements, compatibility, and best practices.
Customer-Facing Role : Interact directly with customers to understand their specific installation requirements, address inquiries, and provide professional and timely customer service.
Site Assessment and Preparation : Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the readiness of customer locations for system installation.
Ensure that necessary power, connectivity, and infrastructure requirements are met prior to deployment.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during the installation process, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to ensure successful system implementation.
Training and Documentation : Provide training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the installed systems.
Create and maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including installation guides, user manuals, and technical specifications.
Collaboration and Coordination : Collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, such as, sales, field operations personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
Travel and Flexibility : Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs, including regular travel to customer sites for installation projects, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
Quality Assurance : Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices during the installation process, consistently delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Learning and Industry Awareness : Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to enhance technical skills and knowledge to provide innovative installation services.
Demonstrates behavior that cultivates operational excellence by continually challenging old methods or ways of thinking and taking responsible risks to improve results.
Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Performs other duties / special projects as assigned.
