- Diagnose failures, determine parts and material requirements and perform repairs as required to resume operation on production equipment.
- Participate in Maintenance Department project implementation and on process improvement teams.
- Perform root/cause analysis in support of reliability processes, and collaborate with vendors, engineering and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
- Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
- Empties chip and scrap containers.
- Replenishes restroom supplies and replaces light bulbs.
- Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
- Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
- Repair or replace control devices such as switches, optical sensors, motor starters.
- Use precision alignment and measuring instruments.
- Perform some outside job duties (groundskeeping) as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma
- Two or more years of work-related experience
- The ability to work safely and follow strict safety practices.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, and structural maintenance.
- Possess analytical skills and a demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical machine controls and drive systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Familiar with the safe operation of various light / heavy machinery
- Experience operating plant equipment to fabricate, cut, weld, and repair machine parts.
- Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions
- Close visual acuity
- Subject to noise, hazards, and oils.
- Lift up to 50 lbs
