Carolina Sinus Center is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant Near Rock Hill, SC

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Travel to select office locations (Charlotte, Rockhill and Gaffney) when needed 
  • Coordinates patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, monitoring the waiting room.
  • Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, accurate and efficient manner
  • Maintains appointment schedule and manages recalls
  • Maintains electronic medical record, including the patient chart. Performs tasks (including linking, uploading, and referrals) in support of patient care.
  • Ensures exam rooms are stocked appropriately and ensures that they are ready for next patient
  • Ensures patient confidentiality by honoring the HIPAA Privacy Standards
  • Assists providers when requested
  • Cleans and sterilizes materials and instruments
  • Performs patient prep procedures and documents findings in the patient record
  • Performs all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required.
  • Provides patient care with a customer service lens
  • Works and learns the audio department and able to perform audiology testing
  • Works and learns the allergy department and is able to perform allergy testing and give shots
  • Able to assist with the in office surgical procedures

Job Requirements: 

General Skills and Abilities:

  • EMR skills/Eclinicals works a plus
  • Must know how to type
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency on a computer
  • Speed and accuracy

Clinical Skills and Abilities:

  • Prepare patients and set up exam rooms for examinations
  • Must be able to give injections and draw blood
  • Must be able to accurately measure and document patient vitals
  • Must be able to maintain and operate an autoclave
  • Must be able to transport and log patient laboratory tests
  • Must understand the importance of HIPAA and OSHA standards

Willing to train the right person for the position.
