Title: Youth Football Assistant
Department: Community Relations
Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Reports to: Manager of Youth Football & Programs
Summary Description
The Youth Football Assistant is responsible for supporting creation, implementation and engagement of all youth football efforts and messaging, as well as Play 60 youth health and wellness programming.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the efforts of Manager of Youth Football & Programs for youth football and Play 60 strategic vision of the Carolina Panthers
Assist the development and implementation of youth football community outreach programs and Play 60 youth health and wellness programs.
Assist in developing new relationships within the youth football community, and understand current affairs of youth football in the market.
Expand current and/or develop new youth football programming as needed.
Assist in securing various grants for local football and Play 60 programs and projects.
Assist in program assessment and goal setting for the upcoming year.
Assist in producing annual comprehensive summary of all football and Play 60 outreach.
Assist in producing website content.
Assist in youth football and Play 60 game day elements.
Support all current and new community relations outreach efforts as needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills

Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strength in public speaking, and event management
Ability to work with diverse groups
Leadership skills with ability to conceptualize, execute, and see projects to completion
Ability to handle physical requirement of job including setting up equipment for events and other light to medium lifting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Ability to interact with players, staff, and community in a professional manner
Proven experience to appropriately work with and around confidential information is necessary
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Computer savvy
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors or Graduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, Marketing or a related field
Experience in community relations, public relations, youth/high school football or project/event execution.
Experience in youth / prep programs, specifically related to football or youth health and wellness.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must pass pre-employment screens
Physical Requirements
Standing for extended periods of time
Sitting and working at desk on a computer
Walking throughout the stadium which may include stairs
Lift at least 30 pounds
Work Environment
This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions. Job may require local travel to events and appearances.
