Job Description: Production Manager - Countertop Manufacturing

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to oversee our countertop manufacturing operations in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Production Manager will be responsible for leading a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality countertop products while maximizing efficiency and productivity. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background, exceptional team-building skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. A demonstrated record of success in the areas above are essential to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes and meet company objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of production staff, including supervisors, fabricators, technicians, and quality control inspectors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance procedures to uphold product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, and scheduling, to streamline workflow and resolve production issues.
  • Oversee inventory management, including raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, to support production schedules and minimize waste.
  • Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, fostering employee development, and implementing best practices.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and capital expenditures, to achieve financial targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the countertop or stone fabrication industry.
  • Strong technical proficiency in countertop manufacturing processes, digital technology, and CNC equipment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and production management software.
