Warehouse: Shipping & Receiving

Shift: 6am-6pm, rotating days & weekends (2-2-3 schedule)

Position Summary:

Safely supply operators with necessary materials and accurately load trailers with finished product.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remove pallets of full goods from line
  • Supply raw materials to specific areas when needed.
  • Supply all operators with necessary materials.
  • Keep wrap machines running effectively.
  • Take trash and recyclables to designated areas.
  • Complete paperwork correctly and accurately log where finished product goes.
  • Remove goods, materials, and waste from floor.
  • Maintain upkeep of the forklift.
  • Maintain safe speeds while observing area for persons and equipment.
  • Responsible for inspecting forklift before shift.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. The employee is also exposed to varying temperatures extremes including heat and cold as the weather varies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work on elevated platforms, with fumes or airborne particles, or with toxic or caustic chemicals. This employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.


Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Distance vision, Color Vision, Peripheral vision, and Depth perception. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

About Carolina Beverage

The Carolina Beverage Corporation was started in Salisbury, NC by a general store owner named LD Peeler. Peeler first began distributing a soft drink called Mint Cola. In 1917 during a World War I sugar shortage, LD Peeler began experimenting with other flavors and developed the soft drink Cheerwine. Today Cheerwine is the primary beverage sold by the company. The company is still based in Salisbury and is privately owned and managed by the same founding family, five generations of whom have worked there. 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of Cheerwine.
