Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the sanitizing and cleaning of machines and machine parts using chemicals, high pressure hoses, spraying and scrubbing as necessary.
• Directs the disassembling and reassembling of commercial grade food processing equipment
• Maintains current work knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.
• Works with employees and management to assure that work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new hire employees as necessary.
• Collaborates with other leads and supervisors to coordinate activities, identify, solve and prevent problems affecting sanitation.
• Assist other sanitation team members to Cleaned plant equipment and work areas as necessary.
• Assist Supervisor as necessary to supervised staff to meet the sanitation schedule requirements.
• Performs random titrations of chemicals. Verify accurate and timely reporting of work in process and completes all relevant paperwork and management reporting.
• Coordinate the completion of all required duties in the master sanitation schedule, monitoring forms, records and comply with all requirements
• Required working in conditions, which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedule (Over Time), flexible hours/shifts and weekends.
• Must Uphold (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices.
• May perform additional duties as assigned by immediate superior or department management including but not limited to the above description.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent amount of relevant experience and education
• Ability to demonstrate superb decision-making ability to determine best course of action
• 1 year related sanitation experience working in a food manufacturing operation is desirable
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Knowledge of chemical usage
• General understanding of Manufacturing Practices.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards on lockout/ tag out
