CARO Nut Company is Hiring a Production Lead Near Fresno, CA
- Reviews Master Production schedule and work orders.
- Ability to lead a group of 8-25 employees in a complex and high-speed business environment.
- Establishes critical system priorities list for specific customer orders.
- Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of the Caro Nut facility.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams in the production, and quality groups within the facility.
- Revise schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials machines and equipment.
- Reschedules identical processes to eliminate duplicate machine setups.
- Distributes work orders to departments, denoting number, type and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
- Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise production planning personnel of production delays.
- Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as GMP’s, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to conduct meetings.
- Able to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Able to make a quick decision.
- Should have knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in conditions, which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules and specific time constraints.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekends based on production needs.
- Must be reliable, dependable.
- HACCP Certified.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understand basic math.
- Read, Write and fill out documentation clear and neatly.
- Excellent arithmetic aptitude.
- Identify equipment malfunctions.
- Identify quality issues.
- Identify quantities and variances.
- Report any deviations to lead or supervisor if not sure.
- Read and write English.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
