Description

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Retrieve product carts that have been instructed to be retrieved by supervisor from freezer and bring them to computer station.
  • Load freeze dryers by pushing product carts up an incline into freeze dryers.
  • Pre-operation: ensure freeze dryers are in optimal working condition in order to prevent damaged product by following established standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • Unload carts of pet food products by pulling product carts down a decline.
  • Verify product cart weight and record amount on production paperwork.
  • Inspect product for correct dryness and deposit product into shipping containers.
  • Report issues with regards to the food safety/quality assurance system (FSQA) to leadership and adhere to the requirements of the FSQA standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform all task requests, regardless of job level.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.

First 30 days: 

  • Successfully onboard and develop an understanding of our organization, mission, team, products and role expectations.

  • Successfully pass annual testing for blood borne pathogens and lockout/tag-out.

First 90 days:

  • Complete department-specific training and other business-related applications by learning SOPs associated with your area of responsibility.

First 6 months:

  • Follow SOPs for your equipment or process without supervision

First 9 months:

  • Learn set-up for your area under supervision.

First 12 months:

  • Perform set-ups for your area without supervision and pass annual retests.

  • Consistently meet or exceed production goals.

Requirements

OTHER:

Pre-employment drug screen and confidentiality agreement are required. Position based in Green Bay, WI. No relocation assistance available. 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience & Abilities:

  • No experience preferred.
  • Able to safely push and pull wheeled carts weighing between 400-500 pounds up an incline. 
  • Able to safely lift up to 60 pounds frequently and stand for entire shift.
  • Able to safely walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, turn, stretch, reach, etc.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions, have attention-to-detail, and work well in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to count accurately.
  • Must feel "at home" in a multi-cultural, meat-processing environment.
