Carmines at Candleworks is located in the heart of Historic Downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bartender to join our team at Carmines.

Job Summary :

Provide food & beverage service to our diners and to servers in an efficient and courteous manner, following established restaurant standards.

To uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform

Prepare bar for service prior to guest arrival, including the supplying of service stations, stock to proper par levels, and inspection of the bar top, chairs and immediate area.

Serve food and beverage items according to established New Beige standards

Monitor diners' satisfaction frequently, anticipate needs without requiring direction and properly time courses.

Restock areas as needed

Properly obtain completed guest checks and close / cash out

Attend all scheduled employee meetings, tastings and trainings

Qualifications :

Must have complete knowledge of cocktails and types of beers

Must be able to upsell and make recommendations to diners

Must be TIPS certified or working toward certification

Must have 3 years of related experience
