JOB SUMMARY

As part of the WaitStaff team, you will play a key role in ensuring that each meal service runssmoothly and that all of our residents’ dietary needs are satisfied. You willbe responsible for taking the food and drink orders of residents, ensuring thatorders are brought to residents in a timely manner, and cleaning or bussingtables once residents have finished their meal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be ableto perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed beloware representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of thejob.

  • Take food and drinkorders of residents and guests on POS system.
  • Place food orders withthe kitchen.
  • Take individualresident dietary restrictions/preferences into account when taking orders byeither discussing with residents or referring to dietary board in kitchen.
  • Observe dietary boardto understand individual resident’s allergies, dietary restrictions, andphysician’s orders.
  • Ensure residents andguests are satisfied during the meal service by routinely checking in ontables.
  • Maintain a clean andtidy work area including, but not limited to the Dining Room, Café, andKitchen.
  • Fold table linens andlinen napkins.
  • Keep café stocked withfruits and snacks for residents.
  • Take and deliver roomservice orders.
  • Collect and returndirty dishes from hallways and stairways from room service orders.
  • Cooperate and worktogether with the Wait Staff team to ensure that each meal service goes smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pass a criminal background check (California Code of Regulations,Title 22, Section 87411).
  • Respectful andprofessional interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, reliable,and flexible regarding scheduling and shifts.
  • Ability to read andcomprehend basic instruction.
  • Be able to lift/move upto 35 lbs, any heavier and a lift device will be utilized.
  • Be able to kneel,stoop, occasionally bend, and stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of some high school education or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Experience or training preferred, but not required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

•Must be authorized to work in the United States of America and provide sufficient work authorization documentation(s)
•Must be able to provide an approved work permit if under the age of eighteen (18).
•DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed before working in the community (obtained through the community)
•Health screening/Physical and negative TB test must be less than six (6) months old (obtained through the community)
•First Aid/CPR Certification (obtained through the community)
