CarlsonSV LLP is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Osceola, WI

We are a growing firm currently seeking candidates to provide support to managers and principals which includes assisting with tax planning, preparing compiled financial statements, small business accounting, and researching technical tax issues. Individuals in this position will need to demonstrate an understanding of, and effectively accounting software applications when completing engagements, special projects, and prioritizing workflow and managing multiple deadlines within the required time constraints.   • The primary office location for this position will be based in Osceola, WI with hybrid work options available after six months of employment.

What type of work would you do:

  • Accounts payable
  • Recording cash receipts and tracking accounts receivables
  • Preparing necessary journal entries
  • Completing monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Processing payrolls and completing quarterly/annual payroll returns
  • Filing sales tax returns 
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports
  • Assist in preparing individual and business tax returns
  • Performing other projects and tasks as requested by client or team

You are the right fit if:

  • You have an Associate Degree in Accounting (at minimum)
  • You have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience with public accounting experience preferred
  • You have experience with accounting software systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters products) and are proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Ability to embrace new opportunities to learn and help our team’s continued growth
  • You possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with clients as well as internal staff
  • You have strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • You have the ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a positive, professional manner

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds; stand or sit for extended periods of time, as well as type/enter data at a keyboard regularly.
