Carlsbad Educational Foundation is Hiring a Program coordinator Near Carlsbad, CA

PROGRAM SUMMARY

Guided by volunteer adult coaches, FIRST LEGO League Robotics teams design, build and program a LEGO® SPIKE robot using Scratch, then put the robot to the test to complete challenges on a table-top playing field.

Teams are given an annual challenge each season, where they must identify a real-world problem and are challenged to develop a solution.

The robotics season adds up to tons of fun while students apply STEM concepts and imagination to solve a problem. Along their journey, they develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they must present their solutions with a dash of creativity to judges.

The Carlsbad Educational Foundation manages the FLL Robotics program for the Carlsbad Unified School District, where students in grades 4th - 8th are invited to apply and join a team.

Estimated 20 hours per week, with occasional weekends and overtime.

The position will be a combination of both remote and on-site work.
