Custodian

We are seeking a Custodian who maintains the cleanliness of bathrooms, common areas, lounges, cafeteria, and building in general and as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work weekends and evenings if necessary, or as needed during weather-related events and other campus activities
• Cleans refrigerators and microwaves in the faculty lounge
• Monitors and maintains common areas, hallways, reception area, cafeteria, lounges, window sills, baseboards, doors, and glass in doors
• Cleans tables in the cafeteria
• Cleans glass doors at entrance areas
• Maintains supplies in the storage area
• Empties all waste baskets and garbage cans
• Cleans bathrooms and all fixtures including stalls and tiled walls, doors, and mirrors
• Maintains general cleanliness around the building, grounds, and parking lots
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Prior custodial experience
• Knowledge of Sanitation
• The ability to fluently speak a foreign language is required (Spanish or Amharic preferred)
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and establish priorities
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to perform moderately heavy manual work
• Demonstrated the ability to work effectively as part of the Facilities team and complete tasks.
• Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination

Hourly range is $17.50 to $21.20
