Carlisle Fluid Tech is Hiring an EH&S Manager Near Oakdale, MN

 

Summary

The EH&S Regional Manager will be responsible for providing EH&S support to our North American facilities located in Jackson, TN; Minneapolis, MN; Wixom, MI; Toledo, OH; and Scottsdale, AZ. The position will execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our standards to improve the safety landscape continuously. 

Essential Functions

  • By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, this position will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Conduct compliance reviews at each facility, identifying deficiencies to ensure compliance with State and Local laws. Follow up to see that corrective actions/remediation plans ensure compliance. 
  • Ensure the process for all hazardous materials/waste is followed. Develop, implement, and maintain waste minimization and other environmental metrics to measure the effectiveness of the company’s programs.
  • Create energy reduction proposals for each site. This will include measurement, reporting and reduction.
  • Provide comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis to the Operations team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain each facility's emergency arrangements, documentation, communication, and practice.
  • Work with site leaders to develop proactive measures that enhance individual site EHS performance through the active participation of associates in their own safety and the development of a safety-conscious culture.
  • Involvement in site safety committees at each site, standardizing best practices and knowledge sharing across sites.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable EHS policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Analyze EHS metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
  • Audit record-keeping practices and submissions to regulatory agencies to be aligned with local safety standards and regulations.
  • Audit the workplace organization and associated behaviors to ensure that training, auditing, and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
  • Spend time with facilities to seek input from associates and leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Communicate openly on progress and resolution of these suggestions.
  • Audit the quality, delivery (including the trainer's qualifications), and effectiveness of all required safety training.
  • Partner with Hudson-Advisors global team on ESG data collection, reporting and project activities. Training will be provided.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree; EH&S, Business/Operations, or other technical discipline preferred.
  • 5 years of previous experience in EHS, ESG, Engineering, and/or Operations.
  • In depth understanding of OHSA procedures, requirements, and relevant legal standards.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO45000 preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of understanding OSHA regulations and ability to direct policies for compliance.
  • Ability to think strategically, critically analyze details, and solicit facts through go-and-see direct observation and listening to team members.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to inspire change.
  • Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
