Carleton-Willard Village is Hiring a Human Resources Assistant Part Time 25 hours Near Bedford, MA

Carleton-Willard Village is a retirement community located in Bedford, MA. Services include supportive care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care all in a village-type setting. Our 72 acre sanctuary of pristine woods, meadows, walking paths and gardens is just north of Boston.
Position Summary:
Providessupport to Human Resources and CWV employees. Assists in the planning and administration of all human resourcespolicies and programs in the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinatebi-weekly orientation, including room assignment, agenda, notification topresenters, assembly of and collection of paperwork
  • Assistsnew hires with their on-boarding completion of paperwork for payroll, benefitsand recordkeeping purposes
  • Inputof bi-weekly payroll changes, such as rate increases, status changes, deductionchanges, new hires and terminations, etc
  • Prepareand distribute monthly list of upcoming and overdue performance evaluations todepartment heads
  • Responsiblefor record keeping, personnel files, maintenance, retention, and administrationof applicable systems including: Payroll, Benefits, Human Resource Information Systems
  • Providetermination letter to employees upon separation including unemployment brochureif applicable
  • Processterminations with insurance providers and notify COBRA carrier of separation
  • UpdatesUKG credentials and maintains record of employees professional licenses andcertifications. Proactively monitors expirations
  • AdministersC.N.A. certification renewals
  • Prepareand distribute monthly birthday cards
  • Performs accurate filing of all paperwork assigned
  • Maintains supplies for the department
  • Participates and supports all HR sponsored activities including but not limited to; bulletin board notice development/rotation, rewards and recognition programs, employee committees; as well as other company sponsored activities when needed
  • Applies"5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job
  • Adheresto all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
  • Reportsto the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy andprocedures, regulations or standards of conduct
  • Attends required in-services and training
  • Photocopies as needed
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Abilityto maintain a high level of confidentiality; high degree of accuracy, and senseof urgency
  • Experience with UKG Ready payroll and HR modules preferred
  • Proficientlevel computer skills, including MS Word and Excel; knowledge of PowerPoint,Applicant Tracking and HRIS experience helpful
  • Minimumof 2-3 years HR experience required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
