Job Description

Position Objective: Will coordinate day-to-day functions, manage program referrals, assign caseloads, review daily documentation, and regularly meet with staff for individual and group supervision. The Intake Coordinator/Supervisor will provide direct service to people served in the Behavioral Health program. They are responsible for providing home/community-based services, including but not limited to: assessment, treatment planning, therapy/counseling, and community support and case management services. Along with providing evidence-based mental health interventions, including crisis intervention when needed. The QMHP must meet established productivity targets and complete all clinical documentation in a timely manner.

  3. To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.

Assistance to the Director of Behavioral Health Services

  1. Assist in development/revision of BHS policies and procedures.
  2. Compile data as requested.
  3. Provide training to other program staff as needed.
  4. Provide mentoring and/or supervision to program interns as requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the intake and assessment process, including caseload assignment.
  2. Conduct clinical and administrative supervision, including discussing case conceptualization, therapeutic techniques and progress toward goals.
  3. Review progress notes and provide feedback to ensure quality of care and productivity targets.
  4. Facilitate staff meetings within the team and ensure attendance at staff meetings with other programs as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with Rule 140 for behavioral health program requirements.
  6. Provide and/or assist with staff training as needs are identified.

Direct Service Responsibilities

  1. Meet productivity requirements which includes completing initial IM CANS assessments, individualized treatment plans, daily progress notes and 180-day reassessments.
  2. Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches; provide community support and case management as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  3. Provide crisis intervention when needed, and document within required time frame.
  4. As a mandated reporter, ensure all allegations of abuse and neglect are reported as required.
  5. Successfully complete program training requirements.

Other Responsibilities

  1. Participate in staff meetings, agency committees, and other agency events as requested.
  2. Attend conferences, seminars, and in-service training as requested or approved.
  3. Arrive at work, meetings, and all work-related functions on time. Report any absence, tardiness, or schedule change to supervisor as soon as possible.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field; clinical license required.
  2. Successfully completed 1000 hours of practicum and/or internship under clinical and educational supervision.
  3. One year of documented clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.
  4. Experience with MRO Mental Health service provision preferred.
  5. Must pass a background check.
  6. Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
  7. One year of mental health clinical supervisory experience preferred.
  8. 1 years’ experience working with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
  9. IM CANS certification preferred; or obtain certification within first 30 days.

Physical Requirements

  1. Frequent walking and sitting.
  2. Regular reaching, grasping, and standing.
  3. Other physical activities related to an office environment.
  4. Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
  5. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  1. Work may occur in the following settings: individual’s home, EP!C office, classroom, or community. Work hours can be flexible.
  1. Be a team player with a positive attitude towards the people EP!C supports, peers, EP!C staff and outside contacts.
  2. May be required to work extended shifts and/or be called upon for emergencies.
