Direct Care Professional (DCP) provide in-home, non-medical services for people of all ages. The DCP will provide care to
clients whose regular caregiver is not available or to assist with covering shift that have not been assigned. The position will
have career growth opportunity. A DCP should have enough confidence and experience to provide care to any client,
however, we will train so there is familiarity between both client and caregiver for all high-level clients. Shifts and clients will
change from day to day to ensure clients receive approved services. Traveling to clients’ homes is required and traveling to
multiple clients’ homes may be required within the same day. The DCP works in an office environment answering phone calls
and works to maintain records, charts, and other assigned duties. This position has variable hours based on the needs.

Responsibilities:

o Accompany to doctor, restaurants,
theater, movies, etc.

or spiritual material

o Provide light housekeeping
o Pack and unpack
o Wash dishes
o Dust, vacuum and take out garbage
o Provide laundry and ironing assistance
o Care for plants
o Change linens and make beds

o Assist with grocery list, clipping
coupons and grocery shopping
o Pick up prescriptions
o Shop for gifts and miscellaneous items
o Doctor, dentist, and other
appointments
o Religious services, shopping, and local
destinations

• Personal Care

o Assist with bathing and personal
hygiene
o Transfer using slide board and Hoyer
lifts (as needed)
o Offer medication reminders
o Assist with range of motion exercises
o Shampoo and style hair

• Meal Preparation

o Prepare meals, assist with eating and
clean up after meals
o Plan and prepare meals in advance
o Assist with special diets
o Monitor expiration date on foods

o Provide relief for primary caregivers
while they take a well-deserved break,
run errands, or attend activities away
from home

• Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

o Provide specially trained caregiving to
assist loved ones and families
o Understand the behaviors and
struggles, as well as the special care
that is needed

o Provide supportive care in the final
stages of terminal illness
o Focus on comfort and quality of life

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
