Role Summary

The LVE Integration Lead is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and overseeing the integration and maintenance of various low voltage test assets used for CARIAD’s Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) across the Infotainment, ADAS & Controls domains. This individual will need strong technical skills, be hands-on, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver, HILs, Labcars, and other low voltage test assets used to test and validate various software and hardware components of the SDV vehicle platform.

Role Responsibilities

• Design and build Hardware in Loop systems (HILs) for the various subsystems in SDV
• Design and build test assets to validate all of the low voltage electronics (Labcars) inside a software defined vehicle.
• Compile BoM and procure parts as well as harnesses meant for HILs and Labcars
• Maintain and update test assets as needed to validate software/hardware changes
• Support software and/or hardware debugging efforts throughout SDLC

Years of Experience

• 7 years related experience

Required Education

• BS in electrical, electronics, mechanical, automotive, or similar, or a related subject with outstanding grades or equivalent work experience

Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in designing, constructing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop systems (HILs).
• Demonstrated proficiency in designing, constructing, and maintaining test assets for entire low-voltage system.
• Demonstrated proficiency in contracting, procuring, and installing vehicle level harnesses.
• Ability to manage logistics of parts procurement and compliance.
• Proven track record of shepherding automotive systems from inception to production.
• Experience with electric vehicle network and electrical architecture is preferred.
• Leadership experience in integration teams is preferred.
