Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse with a specialization in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) nursing, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to medical-surgical patients. You will:

• Assess, plan, and provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit, addressing a variety of medical conditions and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments, closely following healthcare provider's orders and monitoring patient responses.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, maintaining accurate records and detailed documentation.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and their families, offering guidance and support throughout their recovery.
• Adhere to rigorous healthcare and safety standards specific to Med Surg nursing.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• An active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Tennessee, or Compact State license.
• At minimum, current NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS (American Heart) certification (Certification requirements vary by location).
• At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, actively within the last 12 months.
• At least 2 years of specialized experience and expertise in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) nursing, including familiarity with a broad range of medical conditions and surgical procedures.
• Meditech charting experience
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to excel in the fast-paced and dynamic Med Surg environment.
• Travel experience, and/or willingness to travel.
