Pro re nata (PRN) / Per Diem Shiftwork

Compensation: 
$24-30 per hour

Job Description:
As a PRN/Per Diem Certified Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
  • Obtaining patient vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists.
  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Performing basic laboratory tests and procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Providing patient education and instructions regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted CMA license in the state of South Dakota.
  • At minimum, current BLS and ACLS certifications (Certification requirements vary by location).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a CMA, actively within the last 12 months.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to excel in the fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients in need of care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on short notice.
