As our Phlebotomist, your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting patient specimens, labeling, and preparing them for further diagnostic testing.
• Performing venipunctures and finger sticks safely and effectively on patients of all ages.
• Ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols for patient and staff safety.
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation related to specimen collection.
• Providing empathetic patient care, including explaining procedures and addressing questions to alleviate anxiety.
• Coordinating with laboratory staff for smooth operations.
• Restocking supplies and maintaining clean, safe work areas.
• Participating in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

To succeed in this role, applicants should have:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy towards patients' physical and psychological needs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and commute within New York.
