We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and organizing client's living space
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospice care, dementia care, or memory care is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to cook meals according to dietary requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others
- Physical stamina to lift and assist clients as needed
- Familiarity with nursing home systems and protocols is a plus
