Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business / accounting / finance
  • Experience working with large data files and multiple linked spreadsheets.
  • Experience creating and working with automated MS Excel financial models.
  • Experience creating and interpreting financial analysis reports and concisely communicating the results to stakeholders.
  • Comprehensively organized and consistently productive with the ability to execute across all departmental processes.
  • Maintain and protect confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of the general ledger, journal entries, and related accounting tasks
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.

  • Ability to work in a high paced environment, under pressure and still meet fixed deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision.
  • Strong time management skills, be a self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced/deadline-driven environment.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Extract data from various external and internal sources to include Microsoft Dynamics GP and Carelynx for analysis and reporting:
  • Budget versus Actual Analysis
  • IT Spend
  • Revenue by GL and by client code detail
  • SG&A department spend (marketing, sales, product….etc.)
  • Income Statement and Balance Sheet Package
  • Income Statement budget model
  • Cash flow budget.
  • Profitability reports by client, business line and legal entity
  • Other various financial reports
  • Identify and create new metrics for analysis to be used internally as well as with C Suite and external parties.
  • Assist Controller and CFO in creating various reports for quarterly board meetings.
  • Work closely and collaborate with internal department heads in compiling requested financial analysis and reports.
Accounting
  • Enter, review, gather support and post journal entries and bank transactions in Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Support accounting department with IRS reporting by:
  • Preparing 1099 payment data files and other related reports.
  • Updating IRS CP-2100 notice internal tracking file, and
  • Assisting with gathering W-9’s from vendors and internal departments.
  • Assist accounting analyst prepare various client facing files (trial balance, bank rec’s, payment data…. etc.)
  • Assist accounting team during the interim and year-end audit (gathering support for samples & disclosures in the audit report)
  • Fill in for and be a backup for other accounting / finance staff members as needed.
Other responsibilities
  • Assist with onboarding & training new finance staff members on daily tasks.
  • Assist Controller with yearly corporate insurance policy renewal applications or other risk management tasks.
