CareFirst is Hiring a Vice President, Care Delivery and Clinical Operations (Hybrid) Near Washington, DC

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE: 
The VP, Care Delivery and Clinical Operations is responsible for the oversight, development and execution of CareFirst's primary care delivery model and ensuring effective and efficient operations of multi-site and virtual primary care delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sets and executes on the overall Care Delivery strategy for primary care. Facilitates the integration of CareFirst's Virtual Primary Care model, CloseKnit, with the practice, developing hybrid offerings and ensuring a frictionless experience for patients between the two models.
  • Accountable for the financial and operational performance of Care Deliverys primary care virtual and brick and mortar businesses. Serving as dyad-partner with medical practice's executive leadership to develop plans for the execution of operational, growth, and quality goals. Manage key centralized functions including Human Resources, Provider Recruitment, Compliance, Finance and IT. 
  • Provides leadership to clinical and administrative functions across Care Delivery. Implement strategies to improve patient and team member engagement. Ensures high quality patient care and services, including management of patient flow/access, coordination of ancillary services, and enhancement of patient support and service improvement.
  • Identifies long term market and technology trends and strategies. Build CareFirst technology roadmap, identifies current technology available, predicts future technology and emphasizes scheduled improvements. Evaluate which technologies will become obsolete or are scheduled for end of life. Drive technology strategy and implementation to help execute vision.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across CareFirst and physician leadership on the development and execution of population health management initiatives and strategy to achieve CareFirst goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position manages people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: 12 years experience in care delivery management in multi-site clinical practices including 7 years of administrative experience in a managed care setting.7 years in progressive leadership roles.

  • Outside the box thinker; ability to build and lead an innovative healthcare business.
  • Extensive experience in clinical strategy, delivery, management and operational processes.
  • Ability to solve complex, strategic problems and drive solutions focused on operational excellence and patient outcomes.
  • Systems thinker; easily sees patterns and makes connections.
  • Excellent communication skills: with both physicians and executives.

Salary Range: $260,000.000000 - $390,000.000000
