Job Purpose: Investigate and analyze criminal activities in support of operational goals and mission to implement and support Intelligence-Led Corrections (ILC). Provide criminal intelligence analysis to correctional and law enforcement agencies. Assist in the identification of on-going and emerging crime patterns and trends while utilizing data and intelligence collected from restricted sources.

Up to 10% Travel Required

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Investigate and analyze criminal activity to identify methods of operation and trends to assist correctional and law enforcement agencies.
  • Collect, analyze, and preserve data from electronic data sources, including wireless communication devices, ensuring that the evidential integrity of the data is not compromised.
  • Support correctional and law enforcement personnel with requests for assistance.
  • Prepare and distribute intelligence reports to internal, correctional, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and procedures used in criminal investigations and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, and evaluate data and develop logical conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems while working with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritizing skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Advance presentation, communication, and writing skills utilizing Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and writing summary reports.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Understanding of OSINT, SIGINT, and GEOINT.
    • Knowledge of RF and wireless communication terminology.
  • Experience with a correctional, law enforcement, or military agency performing technical tasks, such as identifying, extracting, collating, and analyzing data from databases, record management systems, and wireless communication devices.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment. Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
