Our client seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistic Coordinator/Dispatcher to join thier growing team. As a Logistic Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the transportation and distribution of manufactured goods, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers, to ensure timely delivery and smooth logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to customer requirements - Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to track shipments and resolve any issues or delays - Coordinate inventory levels being produced and ensure accurate stock counts - Utilize logistics software systems to track shipments, update records, and generate reports - Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards - Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving any logistics-related concerns
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficiency in using logistics software systems for tracking shipments and generating reports - Knowledge of shipping receiving processes and 3PL operations - Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System) and GPS (Global Positioning System) technology for route planning - Understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines - Experience in dispatching or coordinating logistics operations is preferred
